Hand Held Numbering Heads

Our hand held manual change numbering heads are typically used for lower volume marking requirements. The wheels are manually advanced with a spanner wrench and provide accurate and permanent marking. The same character sequence is retained after each impression is made, unless changed by the operator with spanner wrench. They provide an ideal solution for stamping repetitive sequences such as product codes, part numbers, seial numbers, etc. 

Our hand held numbering heads are available in a variety of different styles and configurations for both numbering and lettering depending on your application. Read below for more information or feel free to contact us for assistance.

Standard Features:

  • HandHeldNumber1Heavy duty wheels crafted from high-grade tool steel
  • Hand shank frames are constructed of heat-treated high-grade alloy steel to resist chipping. The hand shanks is vinyl coated to absorb shock during the marking operation when the shank is struck with a hammer.
  • Up to 18 wheels available (depending on character size)
  • Available character sizes on Small Frame Head: 1/32", 3/64", 1/16”, 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, and 1/4" (wheel diameter and frame size increase proportionately)

Characters on Standard Wheels:

  • Figures 1 to 0, dash, and blank (12 division)
  • Letters A to M and blank (14 division)
  • Letters N to Z and blank (14 division)

Options:

  • Indexed wheels for direct reading
  • Custom engraved wheels and special character styles (letter wheels, low stress, condensed, reverse, and flat face characters) are also available
  • Hot stamping equipment  

We also offer a Rotary Date Stamp for when a month and year code is required (see photos below.)

  • Our Rotary Stamps provide a more efficient means of stamping individual characters, eliminating the need for multiple hand stamps.
  • Manufactured using the highest quality heat-treated alloy tool steel, our Rotary Stamps provide maximum life under severe usage.
  • Available with either a hand or press style shank.
  • 12-character Figure stamp (1 thru 0, X and - dash) are available.
  • 14-character Letter stamps (A thru M) and (N thru Z) are available.
  • Available Character Sizes: 1/16”, 3/32”, 1/8”, 5/32”, 3/16”, 1/4”, 5/16” and 3/8”.
