Metal stamps and dies are some of the best steel marking tools available. Steel stamps can be used for impact marking machines, punch presses, press brakes, and other machines. Our custom metal stamps can be made for marking onto flat, curved, concave or convex surfaces.

Advantages of metal stamps:

  • Clear marks
  • Durable
  • Permanent
  • Economical
  • Raised or sunk characters
  • Alpha-numeric text, logos and special characters available
  • Flat dies, roll dies and male/female embossing dies available

Metal stamps are very similar to steel type. The advantage of a steel type solution is that the text is interchangeable. Steel type is typically loaded into a type holder, either hand held or press style. Steel type can be used in a number of different ways: together with a holder and standard shank for use in a press, in hand held holders for portability, or even in sledge holders. Our steel type is made from special tool steel and are a durable, long lasting option.

When trying to choose a metal stamp or steel type it is important to know what machinery you will be working with (if any), the material to be marked, volume of parts being marked, whether the text will be constant or needs to be interchangeable, and if the tool needs to be portable.
