CNC Marking Tools
Durable Technologies supplies easy-to-use, economical, spindle-actuated permanent marking devices for marking a multitude of materials, from tool steel to thin-walled plastics. These devices do not rely on electrical or compressed air input and are easily integrated into horizontal and vertical machining centers, and similar CNC machines using a rotating spindle. The DuraDot® marking attachment can be used to create alpha-numeric characters, logos, bar codes, and much more in precise low-stress dot patterns.
Hot Foil Stamping
The hot stamping process includes a hot stamping press, hot stamping dies or type, and a hot stamping foil. The hot stamping press heats up the die or type, the marking cycle starts when the press engages the heated die or type with the foil and presses the foil in contact with the part to be marked. The press then disengages at the end of the marking cycle leaving behind a crisp, permanent ink mark on the part.
Ink Jet Printers
There are different kinds of inkjet printers available including small character CIJ printers which are perfect for printing date coding or other traceability information on food and beverage or pharmaceutical packaging substrates. There are also large-character DOD printers that were designed for printing on a wide variety of substrates, including corrugated, plastics, metals, paper, foils, and more. There are hi-resolution printers that are ideal for printing hi-resolution text, barcodes, graphics, and symbols on both porous and non-porous substrates. Lastly, we offer portable inkjet printers for marking parts around the shop or out in the field, or when the size or weight of the part makes it impractical to mark using stationary printers.
